Newfoundland Transshipment Limited (NTL) is responsible for the management and operation of a transshipment terminal located at Whiffen Head, Newfoundland. The terminal became operational in October 1998. The facility consists of 2 tanker berths, capable of handling vessels up to 190,000 dwt, and 6 crude oil storage tanks, each with a 500,000-barrel storage capacity. NTL has 2 state-of-the-art 5600-hp escort/docking/firefighting tugs.
